Throughout Kaleigh Fratkin’s career, she has forged new grounds for professional women’s hockey, and has become a champion on all stages, including international competition. In the collegiate ranks, Kaleigh was a 3-time Hockey East Champion, made 4 NCAA Final 8 tournament appearances, and made 2 NCAA championship appearances. Moreover, she was named to the Hockey East All-Tournament Team and First All-Star Team in 2014.
As a professional, Kaleigh Fratkin became the first ever Canadian to sign a contract with a club in the NWHL, the World’s first paid, professional women’s hockey league. She is also the highest paid Canadian player in the NWHL. She was named a NWHL All-Star for the 2015-16 season after leading all defensemen in scoring and leading the Connecticut Whale as an assistant captain during their inaugural season. She was again named a NWHL All-Star for the 2016-2017 season with her contributions to the NY Riveters. Finally, she was loaned to the Boston Pride to appear in the first ever outdoor Women’s Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium.
To add to her accolades, Kaleigh Fratkin has been a 7-year member of the Team Canada National Program, a 2015 Nations Cup Champion, a 2014-2015 Senior National Team Member, an IIHF U-18 World Cup Silver Medalist, and has made 3 USA/Canada Series appearances. Kaleigh continues to push the envelope of her own abilities, while expanding her sport to new audiences.
